Buying it, and when not to
The Nova EX3 two-pack is an AX1500 dual-band whole-home Wi-Fi 6 mesh system, rated by Tenda for around 2,500 square feet across the two nodes. It is the cheapest way into Wi-Fi 6 mesh here.
This is the practical mid-market pack: a two-bedroom or three-bedroom flat, a bungalow where the far end never had signal, a shop with a back store, or a house where one router has always been not quite enough. Two nodes, placed well, fix the overwhelming majority of residential coverage complaints, and the AX1500 radio handles a normal family's phones, laptops and televisions without fuss.
If the household has a lot of devices or a fast plan, the AX3000-class Nova EX12 two-pack has real headroom over this and is worth the step up. If the property is large, two nodes will not stretch - go to a three-pack. If the customer's hardware is all older and the budget is tight, the Nova MW6 two-pack is cheaper and will feel the same. In every case, put the first node at the service entry and the second no further than it can reliably hear the first; mesh placed hopefully is the main reason customers believe mesh does not work.
