Buying it, and when not to
The Nova EX12 two-pack is an AX3000 dual-band whole-home Wi-Fi 6 mesh system, rated by Tenda for about 5,000 square feet across two nodes. As with all such ratings, read it as a model-to-model comparison rather than a guarantee for a specific building.
Two nodes is the most common real requirement: one by the service entry, one in the zone that the first could never reach - an upstairs, a back wing, a separate shop unit. Specify this pack for a mid-sized house or a two-area office where the AX3000 radio gives headroom for a houseful of modern phones and laptops.
If the property has a third dead zone, buy the Nova MX12 three-pack rather than this plus hope; retrofitting a node later means placing it where there is a free socket rather than where the signal needs it. If it is a single flat, the EX12 one-pack is the right size. And if the household's devices and connection are both older generation, the Nova EX3 or MW6 two-packs are noticeably cheaper for coverage the customer will experience as identical. Where you can, cable between mesh nodes rather than relying on wireless backhaul - it is the single change that most improves how a mesh install performs.
