Buying it, and when not to

The Nova EX12 one-pack is a single AX3000 dual-band Wi-Fi 6 mesh unit, rated by Tenda for roughly 2,800 square feet on its own.

On its own it is a capable Wi-Fi 6 router for a flat or one floor. Its advantage over a plain router is what happens next: when the customer discovers the back room still drops out, you add a second unit and they keep everything they already paid for. For installers, that upgrade path is easier to sell than telling somebody their six-month-old router has to be replaced.

It is also how you extend or repair an existing Nova EX12 system - one node, not a new pack. If the property plainly needs two or three zones now, the two and three-packs are better value than buying singles one at a time. If the customer's devices are mostly older 11AC hardware, a Nova MW6 pack or an AC10 router gives them the same practical result for less. And for a commercial site that needs guest isolation or captive-portal control, consumer mesh is the wrong class of product - look at the W30E or a cabled ceiling access point build.
