Tenda ME3 pro(1-pack) — BE3600 Whole Home Mesh Wi-Fi7 System

Buying it, and when not to

The ME3 Pro single pack is one BE3600 Wi-Fi 7 mesh node - the individual building block of the ME3 Pro system.

There are two good reasons to stock singles. One is staged buying: a customer takes one node now for the main living area and adds the next when they can, which for a lot of households is the only way the sale happens at all. The other is extension and repair - adding a node for a back building, or replacing one unit in an installed three-pack without charging the customer for a whole new system.

If the whole property needs covering from day one, the three-pack is cheaper than three singles and lets you place nodes properly rather than retrofitting. If the customer only has a small flat and a modest plan, a single Wi-Fi 7 node is more than the situation needs - an AC10 or TX2L Pro router is the honest recommendation and leaves money for the subscription. And bear in mind that a mesh node extending from a weak parent is still weak: if the second zone is far from the first, run cable between the nodes rather than relying on wireless backhaul, or the customer will blame the hardware for a placement problem.
