Buying it, and when not to

The ME6 Pro three-pack is a BE5100 whole-home mesh Wi-Fi 7 system. Three nodes is the configuration for a building, not a room: one by the incoming service, the others placed where people actually sit, with the system handling the handover as phones and laptops move between them.

This is the top whole-home system here and it is for the large, well-served property - a duplex, a three-floor house, a big flat with a difficult layout, or an executive home office where dropouts are not tolerated. Buy the three-pack rather than growing into it when you already know the building has three zones; nodes placed at install time can be positioned properly and cabled if needed, rather than squeezed in later wherever a socket happens to be free.

It is the wrong purchase for a small flat, where a single ME6 Pro unit or an AX12 Pro router covers the space for a fraction of the price. It is also wasted on a slow connection: Wi-Fi 7 mesh cannot create bandwidth the line does not deliver, and a customer on an entry-level plan will see no difference over a cheaper AC1200 mesh. For commercial sites with staff and guest separation, a cabled build with i-series ceiling access points is more appropriate and usually cheaper at the same coverage.
