Buying it, and when not to
The HG1 is a single-port XPON ONT: it terminates the fibre, hands off one Ethernet connection, and does nothing else. No WiFi, no phone port, no router features. For a large number of installs that is exactly right.
Use it wherever the customer's own equipment does the routing - a business with its own firewall, a block where you install a separate router or access points behind the drop, a hotspot site where the gateway is a MikroTik or a G0 PoE router, or any case where you want the ONT to be a dumb, cheap, replaceable media termination. Because it carries no radio, there is less to go wrong and less to configure, and at a hundred units per carton it is the cheapest way to put subscribers on fibre at scale.
It is the wrong unit if nothing else in the install provides WiFi: hand a residential customer an HG1 with no router and you have delivered a dead socket. For those drops use the HG6, HG10 or HG15 so WiFi comes out of the same box. Also remember that single-port means single port - a customer who needs several wired devices will need a switch behind it, so add an SG108 or TEG1016M to the quote.

How this price works
The price above is in Naira and ex-VAT. VAT at 7.5% is added on the invoice.
A price holds for seven days from the day you see it. Equipment prices in Nigeria move with the exchange rate, so past seven days we requote rather than honour a stale figure.
Payment by bank transfer against a proforma invoice carrying your order reference. Collection from our office at Alaba International Market, delivery across Lagos, or courier nationwide. Carton pricing is quoted on request.
