Buying it, and when not to

The TEG1128P-24-250W is an unmanaged switch with 26 gigabit ports and 2 SFP slots, PoE on 24 ports, on a 250W budget. Twenty-four powered gigabit drops in a rack.

This is the switch for a whole building: a multi-floor office, a hotel, a school, an estate, a large clinic. Twenty-four gigabit powered ports means access points and cameras can share one distribution layer without 100Mbps compromises, and the two SFP slots carry the uplink and a second fibre run to another building or riser. Unmanaged means there is nothing to configure and nothing to lock yourself out of, which on a site you will not be visiting often is a genuine advantage.

Do the power arithmetic. 250W across twenty-four ports is roughly 10W each: fine for fixed cameras and light access points, not enough for a building full of AX3000 units. Where that is the case, the TEG1128P-24-410W is the same switch with a budget that will actually carry them. If the drops are modest cameras, the fast-Ethernet TEF1126P-24-250W is considerably cheaper. And for a site needing VLANs, staff and guest separation or remote visibility, the cloud-managed TEG2228P-24-410W or the L2 managed TEG3328F is the right class of equipment.
