Tenda W30E — AX3000 Dual Band Gigabit Wi-Fi6 Enterprise Wireless Router

Buying it, and when not to

The W30E is an AX3000 dual-band gigabit Wi-Fi 6 enterprise wireless router. The word that matters is enterprise: it is built for sites where the network has to separate people, not just connect them - staff on one network, guests on another, with the controls to keep the two apart.

Specify it for a guest house, a restaurant, a co-working floor, a school office or any site where guests get WiFi but must not see the till, the CCTV recorder or the staff files. It is also a tidy single-box answer for a venue that needs capacity for a room full of phones without the expense and cabling of a controller plus multiple access points.

For a private house this is the wrong purchase and an AX12 Pro delivers the same radio class for less. For a site spread over several rooms or floors, one box cannot cover it however capable the radio is: cable the building and hang i26 or i27 ceiling access points, which is the build that actually holds up under load. And if the brief is specifically voucher-based hotspot billing with revenue reporting, confirm the exact capability you need before you commit, and consider pairing it with a dedicated hotspot gateway.
