Buying it, and when not to

The TX2L Pro is an AX1500 dual-band gigabit router with five antennas, and it is the cheapest way into Wi-Fi 6 here. Wi-Fi 6 matters less for headline speed than for how the radio handles a crowd: a room with a dozen phones, two laptops, a smart TV and a few cameras behaves noticeably better than it does on 11AC at the same price point.

Quote it for a family house, a shared flat, a small office, or a guest house where the device count is high but no single device needs enormous throughput. Tenda markets it as a mesh router, so you can start a customer on one unit and add a second later to extend coverage rather than ripping the first one out - useful when the budget arrives in instalments, which in this market it usually does.

If the customer's devices are all older 11N and 11AC hardware, they will not see much benefit and the AC10 saves them money. If the house is large or the walls are thick, buy the mesh as a pack from the start instead of hoping one router reaches - the ME3 Pro or Nova EX3 two and three-packs exist for exactly that. And for anything that needs captive-portal billing or VLANs, this is a home router and the wrong class of device.
