Buying it, and when not to

The TE6L Pro is a BE5100 dual-band Wi-Fi 7 router with five antennas and a 2.5GE port. That 2.5-gigabit port is the specific reason to choose it over the TE3L Pro: if the feed into the building can exceed a gigabit, a router with only gigabit ports caps the service no matter how good the radio is.

This is the top of the single-box router range here, and it is for the customer whose upstream genuinely warrants it - a premium fibre plan, a bonded feed, or an internal network where a 2.5G switch and a NAS already exist. It is also what to quote when a customer with money asks for the best router you stock and you want to be able to justify the answer.

Do not quote it on a line that will never pass a gigabit; the money is better spent on coverage. For a large property, a mesh pack places signal where people actually sit, and the ME6 Pro is the same BE5100 class in mesh form. For a business that needs guest isolation, VLANs or user billing, this is still a consumer router - the W30E, the G0 PoE gateways or a cloud-managed switch build is the correct direction.
