Tenda TE3L Pro — BE3600 Dual-Band Wi-Fi 7 Router

Buying it, and when not to

The TE3L Pro is a BE3600 dual-band Wi-Fi 7 router. Wi-Fi 7 at this class is about headroom rather than a visible jump on today's devices: wider channels and better scheduling, which shows up when a household has newer phones and laptops and a connection fast enough to feed them.

Sell it to the customer who has just taken a high-capacity fibre or Starlink plan and wants hardware that will not need replacing in two years, or to the technically-minded buyer who specifically asks for Wi-Fi 7 by name. It is also a reasonable upgrade quote when somebody is replacing an old 11AC router and would rather spend once.

It is poor value for a house full of 11AC devices - they will connect at 11AC speeds and the customer paid for a standard nothing in the building can use. In that case the AC10 or TX2L Pro delivers the same practical experience for far less. It is also a single router, so the usual caveat applies: if the complaint is dead spots upstairs, no Wi-Fi 7 router solves geometry. Price the ME3 Pro three-pack, which is the same BE3600 class built as a mesh system, or cable the house and hang ceiling access points.
